SAF Launches National Ad Defending 2A Rights

Featured in:

The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), one leader in the battle to protect the right to keep and bear arms, has launched a new national television commercial aimed at rallying America behind President Donald Trump’s pro-Second Amendment agenda.

In a press release announcing the advertisement, the organization said the 60-second message calls on Americans to pledge to defend the Second Amendment from gun-grabbing groups and individuals who are actively trying to thwart President Trump’s efforts to unravel former Presidents Joe Biden’s four-year attempt to erase their rights.

The message will air multiple times on 19 different cable networks beginning next week. In the message, SAF warns of continuing attacks on Second Amendment rights as gun-hating radical groups are doubling down in their attacks on the right to bear arms.

“President Trump is taking actions to roll back Biden’s attack on your Second Amendment rights,” the SAF message warns. “But the gun-grabbing radicals are far from done!”

Alan M. Gottlieb, SAF founder and executive vice president, explained the movement of anti-rights groups, backed by their billionaire backers, to continue to erode rights protected by the Second Amendment.

“In our message, we warn the country about anti-gun extremists who are going state-by-state, pushing an agenda to ban the sale of common firearms,” Gottlieb said. “They want to pass laws to deny Americans their right to own firearms under the Constitution.”

Gottlieb added that because of anti-gun organizations’ efforts, the support of all gun owners is needed to make sure they fail.

“SAF is leading the legal fight to stop this war on gun rights, but we need the help of millions of Americans who are willing to pledge their support and defend the Second Amendment,” he said.

The effort comes after President Trump signed an executive order directing Attorney General Pam Bondi to examine all orders, regulations, guidance, plans, international agreements, and other actions of executive departments and agencies (agencies) to assess any ongoing infringements of the Second Amendment rights of our citizens, and present a proposed plan of action.

While that report hasn’t been submitted yet, two recent actions by the Trump Administration have drawn praise from gun-rights supporters. Earlier this month, the Trump Administration’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) removed former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy’s 40-page advisory declaring so-called gun violence as a “public health crisis.” Additionally, the Justice Department unveiled a plan by which gun owners who had lost their right to keep and bear arms could have those rights restored.

The GOA advertisement will air on the following networks: Fox News, Fox Business, CNN, MSNBC, HLN, the Weather Channel, CNBC, Bloomberg, BBC America, One America News, the History Channel, TBN, American Heroes Channel, the Outdoor Channel, World Fishing, Game Show, RFD, Direct TV and DISH TV.
